We were in for a big storm this Thanksgiving week... but we are getting rain instead. I don't mind. We will get plenty of snow in the next few months.  : p

Now with daylight savings, the sun sets sooner in the afternoon. It gets dark by 4 pm.... ...Here's to savoring those last few rays of daylight...

Today I made a strawberry rhubarb pie. It was delicious! TOO good. In fact, I better not make this again for awhile, a very long while   . . .

Although I love to sleep in, this sunrise beckoned me to take it's picture. Despite the grain in this image (the pebbly texture in the dark areas), there is a peaceful quality about it. I was too groggy to get my camera settings right or grab my tripod. It was very dark in the room and just starting to get light outside... I'm thankful for sunrises, and that they are new every morning. I'll get the settings right next time...good morning to you all!

Since the days are getting colder, I will be doing more things inside; In addition to taking pictures I might do a little sewing and quilting...

Here is a macro, a close up of my sewing needle. : )

Oh sew little time...sew much to do!

Hmmm, today shall I wear these cozy colorful knit socks or....

or these???

Aren't they pretty!?! A friend from work knit them.

It is getting too cold for this...

And these...

Crispy cool autumn days are upon us...

The days are getting shorter....

The aroma of hot tea or fresh hot apple cider can really be a pick-me-up, this time of year.
